Piex Group acquires PharmaCDI, a distributor of pharmaceutical products for African markets from its logistics hub in Rungis.
With this acquisition, Piex Group is pursuing its development and growth strategy by strengthening its presence in French-speaking African countries and diversifying its portfolio of principals & partners.
With € +100 million of revenues in more than 30 countries, Piex Group is the independent leader of pharmaceutical products distribution to Africa. With this solid background, Piex is now expanding quickly towards English speaking African countries. Through the acquisition, the Group consolidates its position as the third player in this market behind the distribution businesses of Eurapharma and Ubipharm groups.
Founded in 1992 by Caroline Theimer, PharmaCDI is a depository and export distributor of pharmaceutical products to Africa, and one of the leading players on its market with a revenue of € +20 million with 20 principals.
From its headquarters in Rungis, the company works in close partnership with leading pharmaceutical companies, and downstream players in the supply chain: local wholesalers, pharmacies, clinics and hospitals. The company ensures the best delivery of health products in African territories by carrying out storage, sales, and shipping services.
